Because having a good fit with your therapist is important
You can learn a little about our therapists by reading the information in our "bios". A much better way to get a sense of whether a therapist would be a good fit to support you and/or your loved ones would be for you to take advantage of booking a 15-minute free meet-and-greet via video or phone. This gives you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the therapist, their experience, or the way they practice.

She/Her
When you work with me, you can expect compassion, empathy, acceptance, and probably a good dose of humour when it is fitting. I encourage emotional awareness and reflection, and I can help you to lean into these processes so that you aren’t as overwhelmed by your feelings.
My role as a therapist is to create a safe environment for you to share your pain and your hopes, your challenges and your successes. I will be your support through difficult times, and I will help you reconnect with the wisdom and strength you already possess. I can help you rediscover and refresh your perspectives and priorities.
My hope is that you leave each conversation feeling heard, understood, and unburdened, ready to continue becoming the person you want to be, and to build the life you want to have.
I value diversity. My practice is inclusive of all cultural backgrounds, body sizes and shapes, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, and family compositions.
I am passionate about working with adults and youth who are seeking support to manage life stressors and transitions, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and trauma. Some of my clients want to explore their pasts to help understand their present, while others want to focus on current situations. I enjoy helping parents/caregivers find ways to coach their children and youth through uncomfortable emotions, as caregivers are uniquely positioned to have the most positive impact in overcoming the challenges their children and family face.
I am a Registered Social Worker with over 15 years of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals, families, and groups in community-based settings. I have been a clinical supervisor to those beginning their journeys as psychotherapists. I offer an approach that integrates several different therapeutic modalities, trainings, and tools to best suit your specific needs and goals.

He/him
I am a registered Social Worker (Master of Social Work; RSW with OCSSWSW) with more than 25 years of experience providing mental health services to children, youth, and families. I was an outreach Crisis Worker for 15 years, and also spent more than 10 years working as a Clinical Therapist in an outpatient mental health clinic.
My clinical interests include providing treatment for specific therapeutic issues like anxiety, depression, stress management, and trauma for youths and adults. Additionally, many people also seek therapy to address issues such as self-acceptance, self-care, to develop assertiveness, or to develop a greater understanding of themselves. Whatever your reasons for seeking treatment, we can create a collaborative plan to address your goals in a way that works for you.
I have also worked for many years with criminally-involved youths and have significant experience providing treatment to minors who have sexually offended or engaged in fire-setting behaviours. While these issues frequently require broader community intervention, I am happy to consult to determine if private therapy to address concerns is an option for your family.
My priority is to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where clients can discuss worries and concerns, and ultimately feel that they have been heard, understood, and not judged. My approach to therapy has been described as warm and empathetic, as well as strengths-based and client-centered. I am comfortable working with many therapeutic modalities (e.g. CBT, Narrative, trauma-informed treatment, Unified Protocols for Trans-diagnostic Treatment, etc.) and typically provide an eclectic mix of interventions that are tailored to the needs of individual clients. Therapy services can be provided online or in-person depending on the preferences of the client.
My wife and I are both lifelong residents of Burlington, and for the past 20 years we have been lucky enough to find ourselves living in the beautiful downtown core. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, entertaining, reading, and travel.
